The LeapPad Blues

Have you been looking for a LeapFrog LeapPad for your child, but haven't had any luck tracking one down? The LeapPad, a handheld gaming tablet for children ages four years and up, is the hottest toy of the 2011 holiday season. It debuted over the summer and is the next gaming handheld from LeapFrog. Last year, the Leapster Explorer was the popular toy, but now there is a new sheriff in town.

It is no wonder that many parents like the LeapPad. With its popular tablet style, it is like a kiddie version of the iPad. It comes with a built-in camera, plays games that can be downloaded from the LeapFrog store or from separate game cartridges, and much more.

The popularity of this toy soared over the past few months and now finding one is very difficult. LeapFrog had small quantities arrive over December and once customers learned they were back in stock, they quickly flew off the cyber shelves. (And seemingly frozen their entire website in the process.)

If you have been looking for one, time is running out to find one. Most stores are sold out and you may pay a hefty price for one in time for Christmas if you do. Your best bet may be to write your kiddo an "IOU" and wait until January when a limited number of LeapPads will arrive in Toys 'R' Us stores.

Ensure you get one in January by preordering one right now! Head into your local Toys 'R' Us store and preorder a LeapPad for January 2012 pickup. There are limited quantities available, so don't delay.

You may not have one in time for Santa's arrival, but Christmas can continue in January!
