New England Candles got their start in a little town in Northern Maine adjacent to the Allagash Wilderness by a local artist and her son, back then it was known as Arcadia Soap & Candle Co. As the popularity of these wonderfully highly scented candles started to grow (as did her son) so did the demand for the candles. The artist soon found herself longing for her true love, painting. I feel very fortunate to have been entrusted for the past 6 years to hand pour all of the wonderful candles you will find here. We have adapted our own unique one of a kind blend of waxes that produce the most fragrant, clean burning, soot free scented candles. We still use only the finest quality ingredients that just cannot be compared to mass produced candles. New England Candle individually tests every single one of our candle scents in all of our containers to ensure that you have a quality candle. We use no Aniline (coal tar) Dyes in our candles so you can have your very favorite scent without worrying if the color will match your decor. Yes you can purchase a 4.00 candle at the department store but that is what you will get, a 4.00 candle.
